# PCBWay rev4.1 Upload Checklist

## Intent

rev4.1 is the Maker/hybrid board: PCBWay handles top-side SMD assembly; Chuck/makers hand-solder through-hole, mechanical, relay, terminal, and field wiring parts unless explicitly quoted separately.

## Required upload files

- Gerber/drill zip
- BOM File: `rev4.1-bom-smd-only-grouped.csv`
- Centroid/CPL File: `rev4.1-top-smd-cpl.csv`
- Assembly notes: SMD top side only

## Current resistor values to verify

- R1 = 220R
- R2 = 220R
- R3 = 220R
- R4 = 220R
- R5 = 220R
- R6 = 10K
- R7 = 220R
- R8 = 10K

Factory truth comes from schematic/PCB Value fields and exported BOM/CPL, not silkscreen text.

## SMD-only BOM expected grouping

- R1,R2,R3,R4,R5,R7 = 220R, qty 6
- R6,R8,R10 = 10K, qty 3
- No blank SMD values

## Explicit assembly note

“Please assemble top-side SMD components only from the supplied SMD BOM and CPL. Do not populate through-hole, mechanical, relays, terminal blocks, sockets, or field wiring parts unless separately confirmed.”

## Common PCBWay review questions

- Are generic passives acceptable?
- Should USB-C J6 be populated?
- Should through-hole parts be assembled?
- Are substitutions allowed?
- Is the centroid top-side only?

## Substitution stance

Passive substitutions are acceptable only if same value, package, voltage/power rating, and tolerance class. No substitutions for USB-C connector, ICs, protection devices, relays, optos, triacs, fuses, or mechanical parts without approval.

## Decision rule

If assembly quote stays sane, let PCBWay review rev4.1. If they include through-hole or quote gets weird, fall back to rev4.0 through-hole EDU/garage lane without shame.
